Bermuda, the perfect vacation

Bermuda seems like an ideal place to visit or live. So in the spirit of research, here are some findings:

From Bermuda.com ... about the Bermuda economy:

"Bermuda's economy is based on tourism and international business. It has been highly successful in both ventures, and now boasts one of the highest per capita incomes in the world. Tourism, although less important to the economy than it was a generation ago, is still a substantial contributor. Some 400,000 people holiday in Bermuda, most of them from the east coast of the US. The Bermuda dollar is at par with the American dollar, making life as simple as possible for visitors.

Now as to the geography, a correction: "Many people make the mistake of thinking Bermuda's somewhere in the Caribbean. It's not. Bermuda is actually 950 miles (1529 km) to the north of Nassau, Bahamas."

On the government website of Bermuda tourism, check out the map for distance relative to major U.S. East Coast cities: http://www.bermudatourism.com/6.aspx.

Lonely planet (http://www.lonelyplanet.com/worldguide/destinations/north-america/bermuda) says "Think Bermuda and images of tidy pastel cottages, professional gents in ties and shorts, pink-sand beaches, and quintessential British traditions like cricket matches and afternoon tea spring to mind. For once the stereotype matches the reality."
