Center for Integrative Medicine offers lecture series

University of Pittsburgh Medical Center's Center for Integrative Medicine (CIM) is offering a lecture series on complementary health care. To celebrate a decade of health and wellness, the beginning talk is Thursday, July 19. The talks, all free and open to the public, start at 5:30 p.m, will take place at CIM's Shadyside Place location, Suite 310, 580 S. Aiken Ave. According to the release....

Thursday, July 19 -- "Foods to Prevent Heart Disease, Cancer and Diabetes" by John Laird, N.D., naturopathic and nutritional counselor at CIM

Thursday, Aug. 16 -- "Improve Your Quality of Life Through Mindfulness" by Carol Greco, Ph.D., research assistant professor of psychiatry at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

Thursday, Sept. 20 -- "Prolotherapy Encourages Natural Healing" by Ron Glick, M.D., medical director of CIM and assistant professor of psychiatry, physical medicine and rehabilitation and family medicine at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine

Thursday, Oct. 18 -- "Maintaining Good Health with Self-Shiatsu" by Stephanie Ulmer, shiatsu practitioner at CIM
