Chinese Version of Complementary/Integrative Medicine Education Resources Website Available

MD Anderson announces a Chinese version of its web-based resource center for patients, families, clinicians and researchers concerning integrative oncology.

The Integrative Medicine program at M. D. Anderson Cancer Center
announced that it has begun the implementation of a Chinese version of the top-level pages of its Complementary/Integrative Medicine Education Resources (CIMER) Web site (

According to the program:

This Web site is a valuable resource for health care professionals, patients, and caregivers. It is particularly useful for individuals wishing to safely incorporate complementary and integrative medicine with conventional cancer care. The site contains a collection of scientifically derived reviews of complementary cancer treatments, links to online continuing education courses, FDA advisories, news, programs, events, an International Health and Medical Media (FREDDIE) Award winning series on discussing complementary therapies with patients and more.

These top-level pages, also available in both English and Spanish, include the first page of each therapy in the "Reviews of Therapies" link. This page is a summary of each monograph written for patients and the public and can be used as a quick reference by health care professionals when guiding patients in the use of these therapies. Other pages include Resources and Links, Methodology, FAQs, and definitions. Each month more pages will be added in Chinese.
