Is vegan an orthodoxy or can one be almost vegan like almost famous?

Here’s a recent note I wrote:

I am only 60% vegan, I’m not sure it’s like 50% orthodox, I just try to stay away from milk, butter, eggs, honey, leather as much as possible but I don’t insist on it life is complex and the baseline of society with regards to animals is inexplicably cruel, it is about making the healthiest choices while staying balanced and sane.

I have a hard time fitting into any mold or accepting anything 100%.

The vegan thing makes sense, I think it should be the default for our world.

Not that I am evangelical about it. 🙂  Just seems to make sense from a humble perspective that is not species-centric.  We are not here to dominate, destroy, appropriate, misuse, kill, maim, and inflict senseless slaughter on other beings.  Can someone please re-state this in a positive way as what we are here to do?  I think already I have in my book Future Medicine.  But to be truly authentic to that, to state what the dark side is and how it appears in our lives as almost mechanized madness, in the form of psychic numbing …. that is also part of the question.

Still working it out…..
